030119T Professional Mariner LLC Bass Pro XPS 5/5/5 Battery Charger   Short circuit 5000 Open Battery charger units are sold through Bass Pro Shops. In a very limited number of units, when wired in a 24 volt mode, a failure has occurred that has resulted in an internal short that can cause significant heat damage to the negative wires connected to the 24 volt battery bank. This failure may be induced by improperly connecting the 12-volt dc output(s) of the XPS battery charger to a 24-volt connection (i.e. the 24-volt trolling motor connections) as opposed to making an appropriate connection to individual 12 volt batteries. It is highly unlikely that this failure will occur in your installation, but as a precaution we recommend the installation of additional fuses in the negative leads for all 24 volt or 12/24 switchable trolling motor installations. Professional Mariner has designed a negative lead fuse kit specifically for XPS 5/5/5 trolling motor battery banks.

The kit is available free from Professional Marine or Bass Pro Shops.

LUN 030134S Lund Boat Div., Genmar Various 2003-04 Fuel tank sender gasket     Gaskets on Wema brand senders installed in Kracor tanks on Lund boats are failing. The gasket becomes soft and deteriorates, this results in fuel leaks and vapors which could result in explosion or fire. No incidents of personal injury or property damage are known to have occurred.

Lund will inspect and replace the fuel sender gasket. This does not apply to Lund boats with Moeller tanks. Wema has notified Genmar and Kracor that the gaskets needed for this campaign are in short supply and there may be as much as a one month delay in providing the gaskets.
