SELLER'S PACKAGE: Includes notarized, recordable transfer of ownership, Abstract of Title, processing loan payoff and preparation of USCG Satisfaction of Mortgage (if requested)

BUYER'S PACKAGE: Includes review of seller's ownership documents for outstanding liens, notarized recordable transfer of ownership, Abstract of Title, processing loan payoff, USCG documentation papers and mortgage preparation (if necessary).

LIEN SEARCH/ PAYOFF: Obtain and review seller's ownership documents, obtain loan payoff information, process funds to the seller's lender and direct any remaining monies due to the seller.

ABSTRACT OF TITLE: USCG file history of a documented boat's ownership and lien information.

USCG DOCUMENTATION: Included in Full Settlement Service Package

FULL SETTLEMENT SERVICE: BoatU.S. will act as agent and coordinate all transaction between buyer and seller. This includes lien searches, processing seller's loan payoffs, preparing necessary papers for ownership transfer, file for USCG documentation and hold deposits(if requested).

After a buyer or seller has requested our service, we will fax, e-mail or phone all parties involved and initiate the closing process by requesting:

Seller's Closing Worksheet

Purchase agreement (we have blank forms if needed)

Seller's ownership papers

Insurance coverage for buyer

Finance Application (if needed)

Upon receipt of the above information we will:

Verify seller's loan information

Obtain loan payoff information

Review seller's ownership documents

Hold deposit check (if requested)

Time necessary for your your boat closing will be determined by the seller's type of ownership. A state registered boat will generally require 5 to 6 working days. A USCG documented boat will require 6-8 days. After careful review of documents we will prepare:

Bills of sale

Satisfaction of Mortgages

USCG documentation papers

Power of Attorney (if necessary)

Papers necessary for seller's current loan payoff

Issue USCG marking instructions to new owner

Ship's Preferred Mortgage (if necessary)

Instructions for final payment to seller

Upon receipt all signed documents will be reviewed. We will then direct payoff to the bank/seller. If requested we will file USCG documentation; otherwise all original documents will be forwarded to the new owner with copies to the seller.
